This autumn, the vibrant spirit of New York City's jazz scene makes its way to the picturesque shores of Lake Geneva with the International Jazz Festival of Rolle. Set against the stunning backdrop of the historic Château de Rolle, this three-day event will feature some of the world's greatest jazz musicians, offering an intimate experience where the audience stands alongside the performers. 

 

Founded by two passionate entrepreneurs and musicians, the festival promises to celebrate the beauty of jazz while fostering a sense of community and shared emotions. Join us for an unforgettable musical journey that transcends boundaries—where the magic of live jazz comes alive!

DADDY RABBITT

In 2021 pianist and producer Misha Piatigorsky created a unique musical experience in NYC during the height of the pandemic. The Daddy Rabbit became an instant sensation - a legendary music experience where there are no boundaries between the performers and the audience

 

Imagine a medieval hall where the musicians perform in the middle of the room facing each other and the audience is surrounded by them creating a the ultimate immersive musical experience.

Hector Martignon & The Foreign Affair featuring Chris Rafalides and friends

Hector Martignon, originally from Columbia, is one of the most sought after latin-jazz pianist in New York.  Twice nominated for the Grammy awards, he was the pianist, arranger and composer for the late Ray Barretto from 1990 to 1998.  He has toured and played with many stars such as Celia Cruz, Mongo Santamaría, Gato Barbieri, Steve Turre, Paquito D’Rivera, Don Byron, Max Roach or Tito Puente.

Hector will be performing with his Foreign Affair Trio with Raphael Nick on drums and Dudu Benz on Bass.

A professional musician since 1983, Moncef quickly asserted himself as one of Switzerland’s leading Jazz artists, thanks in part to the body of work he assembled with his Trio. In the course of his career he has played with the likes of Bob Berg, Alvin Queen, Reggie Johnson, Harold Danko, John Stubblefield, Joe LaBarbera, Michael Brecker, Larry Grenadier, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Bill Stewart, Idris Muhammad, James Cammack, Jack DeJohnette, Scott Colley, and Grégoire Maret, among many others.

7-8pm Giovanni Mirabassi & Rosario Giuliani

 

These two multi-award-winning musicians have known each other for over twenty years. Giovanni Mirabassi is undoubtedly one of the most exciting jazz pianists of his generation. Having settled in Paris in the 1990s, he collaborated with the greats: Chet Baker, Steve Grossman, Michel Portal, and Charles Aznavour, to name just a few. Saxophonist Rosario Giuliani has created and developed a unique, beautiful sound, characterized by a fluid phrasing that dazzles with energy. It is this originality and excellence that have led him to collaborate with legends of international jazz, such as John Patitucci, Bob Mintzer, Charlie Haden, as well as with renowned directors like Ennio Morricone.
